The poem Otto has carried is John Donne No Man is an Island. Perhaps Otto will be replenished in the mountains and then realise he needs his fellow man no matter how insane we all are!!
Beau ( Bow in English!) returns to her mother’s land searching for the love that she hopes is still there in the land. She finds Buckley’s Bunyip ( work by Jeff Regus) and is told the history of the white invasion. She reads the book Buckley’s Chance by Garry Linnell and realises no human is perfect or without flaws. Will we ever learn to get along she wonders?
Sometimes things get broken and they can’t be fixed and it is time to grieve the loss.

Eyes found his home in a cave on the Great Ocean Coast somewhere between Airey’s and Lorne, near a wreck of an old car. Here he can look out to see and on a good day hope for peace on earth.

Jetsom loves the internet. He has found his brother and now he has him as a screen saver!
Flotsom went North three years ago and wasn’t heard of until yesterday there in the post was a photo of his new home on Easy Woody Island. Jetsom his twin never gave up hoping and Flotsom no longer feels guilty for not making contact!

We all have dreams! Flat Kat wants to drive a Tonka truck!

Flat Kat tried the Tonka Truck but decided the peace and quiet of the garden more her thing.
Bats decides to stay on the picnic table in Dinner Plains. The snow will melt and someone will find him one day soon may be. In the meantime he recites e e cummings
in Just
Spring when the world is mud-luscious the little
lame balloonman
whistles far and wee
and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it’s
spring
when the world is puddle-wonderful
the queer
old balloon man whistles
far and wee
and bettyandisbel come dancing
from hop-scotch and jump-rope and
it’s spring
and
the
goat-footed
balloonMan whistles
far
and

Pigsy rested at Airey’s Inlet. Will I go for a surf or sit and read William Wordsworth ” I wandered lonely as a cloud….”

Presenting at Conference in NSW Art Gallery

Yellow decided to stay at Sydney Botanical gardens.
Yellow had got to the 8th Annual International Arts and Health Conference at the NSW Art Gallery, Sydney. http://www.artsandhealth.org.au He was weary and decided to stop and stay awhile in the Gardens joyful he had made the effort to come and make contact in person. He felt excited that others realised how important it is to not just app or online chat but to also stumble in and stand there yellow with fear and awkward just like everyone else.

Three weeks later found a better spot!
Come and check out all the talent. Chapeau is in awe at all the amazing creativity. She particularly liked the Collaborative Art Project where she got to share her own creativity!
Chapeau was still in the tree three weeks later enjoying saying Bonjour to all the school kids though she had moved house!
Check out the amazing art work on

Ruby went up to Darwin to a wedding. She also went to secretly find her french cousin ” Je vais aller”. She only knew he had changed his name to ” Doug” and last heard of in Darwin.
Ruby dreamed of finding him again to tell him she loved him. She had a poem in her hand, Dreams by Langston Hughes
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
frozen with snow.

Hot Head, Ruby’s twin meanwhile has gone to Geelong to swing with the other beauties. She is hot for adventure and wants to see life just like her hero cousin “Doug”.
Hot head carries her poem The Frog by Christina Rossetti. As yet she has not had the time or interest to read it!!

Mad Cat is so happy to be able to listen to the Magpies in Loch. She feels a lucky pussy cat.She also like the Loch beer!
Daisy carries the poem by William Ernest Henley called “Invictus” which apparently Mandela recited each day in prison.
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from the pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
for my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud
under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade.
And yet the menace of the years
Find, and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishment the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

“Rejoindre” flew to Bunbury Western Australia to be near his relatives who went out west to see what was there.
Rejoindre’s name means to meet up in French. let us hope that will happen when the time is right. In the meantime he thinks of the poem by Salvatore Quasimodo
(translated)
Everyone stands alone at the heart
of the earth
transfixed by a ray of sunlight,
and suddenly it is evening.

“Nuts” went all the way to Spain only to return to her favourite place Angahook Park at Airey’s Inlet Australia
A Pinch of Salt by Robert Graves
When a dream is born in you
With a sudden clamorous pain,
When you know the dream is true
And lovely, with no flaw nor strain,
O then, be careful, or with sudden clutch
You’ll hurt the delicate thing you prize so much.
Dreams are like a bird that mocks,
Flirting the feathers of his tail.
When you sieze at the salt box,
Over the hedge you’ll see him sail
Old birds are neither caught with salt nor chaff:
They watch you from the apple bough and laugh.
Poet, never chase the dream.
Laugh yourself and turn away.
Mask your hunger; let is seem
Small matter if he come or stay;
But when he nestles in your hand at last,
Close up your fingers and hold hime fast
The Good night by Louis Simpson
He stood still by her bed
Watching his daughter breathe,
The dark and silver head,
The fingers curled beneath,
And thought; Though she may have
Intelligence and charm
And luck, they will not save
Her life from every harm.
The lives of children are
Dangerous to their parents
With fire, water, air,
And other accidents;
And some, for a child’s sake,
Anticipating doom,
Empty the world to make
The world safe as a room.
Who could endure the pain
That was Laocoon’s?
Twisting, he saw again
In the same coil his sons
Plumed in his fathers’ skill,
Young Icarus flew higher
Towards the sun, until
He fell in rings of fire.
A man who cannot stand
Children’s perilous play,
With lifted voice and hand
Drives the children away.
Out of sight, out of reach,
The tumbling children pass:
He sits on an empty beach,
Holding an empty gala.
WHo said that tenderness
WIll turn the heart to stone?
May I endure her weakness
As I endure my own.
Better to say goodnight
To breathing flesh and blood
Each night as though the night
Were always only good.
Because I could not stop for Death- By Emily Dickinson.
He kindly stopped for me-
The carriage held but just Ourselves_
And Immortality
We slowly drove-He knew no haste
And I had put away
My labour and my leasure too,
For His Civility_
We passed the School, where Children strove
At Recess_ in the Ring_
We passed the fields of Gazing Grain_
We passed the Setting Sun_
Or rather_ He passed Us_
The Dews drew quivering and chill_
For only Gossamer, my Gown_
My Tippet_ only Tulle_
We paused before a House that seemed
A Swelling of the Ground_
The Roof was scarcely visible_
The Cornice_ in the Ground_
Since then- ’tis Centuries_and yet
Feels shorter than the Day
I first surmised the Horses’ Heads
Were towards Eternity_
Land By Jack Davis
Oh white man
how can I make you understand
this love of land?
It has the touch of a child’s fingertips
to a mother’s lips.
Her loveliness is summer red,
pink fading gold,
as mother sunsinks to fold
herself in a cloak of night
embossed with the light
of stars from a balck nation’s dreamtime.
The Stay-Leave twins. “Je dois aller” heads north to Darwin in search of adventure and life. His twin “Profiter de cette” stays safely at home with the new cooking utensil set. “Je dois aller” makes his name Australian and calls himself “Doug”. Soon he is really living and has lots of addiction to manage the pains of life. He misses his twin at home who is busy checking his e mails daily for news of his brother. If we stay we sufficate each other and yet when we separate we ache for the other we have left behind. Life perhaps requires us to manage separations and yet stay connected at the same time. Doug says he misses home but his brother has the same feeling so where is home? Perhaps it is where those we love are.

After eight broken years Penny finally returned to Little Waterloo Bay at Wilson’s Prom. She was so so happy to return as she thought she would never see it again. A Raven quickly swept her up into the sky and flew her away to his perch. She was happy to go and glad she had held onto Emily Dickinson’s poem of Hope.
Hope is the thing with feathers.
That perches in the soul,
……….
Never give up or at least keep putting one foot in front of the other, even if you feel like giving up! Penny is in bliss land again

The Choco triplets can’t agree on anything except that they need to separate and go their own ways. Choco Ears has ventured forth to Beechworth is search of a Cat for a companion. He’s also hopeful of finding his fortune in Gold. We will see. As they say life is a journey and at the very least the triplets might come to appreciate each other as the old saying goes ” Absences makes the heart grow fonder.” We will see!
