Procreation and the Chess men

Guh, went on a mission to give his friend a big hug after she had been very sick. He took his poem Invictus with him. When he arrived he found lots of fellow supporters, all cheering for he to keep going, even if none of them knew the outcome. I guess it’s the old saying “It’s the journey not the destination”. Guh is sooo pleased to be in with a whole cheer squad. Guh, you see is a pawn and has a wish that the pawns rule the chess board, not the kings and queens!

Ernest just wants to hug his mum before she dies however the regulations tell him he is not allowed to hug her.  She just wants to hug him too.  They are both very confused and lonely.

Ernest

Ernest couldn’t manage not hugging his mum so he went looking for Otto. However his friend seems to have quietly disappeared off the grid.

Ernest wonders how many people will ” disappear off the grip” during this pandemic? Lost and forgotten.

Hairclip has a moment. She realises this is life, there is no waiting for it all to be over or better or different. She looks around and thinks I am a lucky soul to be alive right here right now.

Otto has his poem Today by Mary Oliver….. ” I’m taking a day off, quiet as a feather…..”

Lennie Gwyther and his pony, Ginger Mick walked from Leongatha to Sydney to witness the opening of the Sydney Harbour bridge in 1932. Carl wanted to hitch a ride but hasn’t worked out time travel yet so he sat under the picnic shelter and thought old age may increase his beauty.

The COVID 19 Virus has let all the moralists loose on the world keen to exert their power on others!  Frank is keen to make his mark as well. Will he be a King or a pawn? We will see. He sits beneath The Nest by D Bell and G Tippet in Darebin park Melbourne. Though right now he feels infitismally tiny beneath the Nest and the awesome sky above. Perhaps he has to acknowledge whether he is a king or pawn, he is insignificant in the schema of the universe!

Alfie looks out onto the inlet at Tooradin with the Swamp Monster, by Brandon Kroon. Alfie wonders will he become a Bishop or a pawn? We will see.  The swamp monster doesn’t care what Alfie is.

Pawns like Otto watch silently as knights and bishops rule. But one day a pawn may become a queen so beware all you who arrogantly dominate.

Mrs Chocolat has fiive children of her own and two adopted

It is easy to judge others.
It is not so easy to understand.
Why does someone chose to have so many children from so many different fathers and live in poverty?
And then loose their children to Department of protective services.
SO the cycle repeats.
History is perhaps an important lesson to learn from but sadly we do not seem to be heeding the call.
And then of course one has to be careful of who wrote the history book!
Mrs Love has five children. One “Why” is now living in the Chinese Friendship Garden in Darling Harbour, Sydney. His twin is going to Germany to find his father. “Gentle” prefers to be closer to home in Carlton gardens, Melbourne. He likes to keep an eye on his mum. “Moi” will never leave home. “Made in Sin” is searching for his roots in Cornwall in a desperate attempt to make sense of his existence. Of course there is no sense only life. They are all alive and that is all Mrs Love wants. That and to may be have another child if the time is right. Her biological clock is still ticking.
