The cycle project. Cycle to Iona … to Ireland… to Life and to death and then to atoms and particles.

Dreamer sits on his garden bench and recites Thomas Hardy’s poem
The Garden Seat
It’s former greens blue and thin,
And its once firm legs sink in and in;
Soon it will break down unaware,
Soon it will break down unaware.
At night when reddest flowers are balck
Those who once sat there on come back;
Quite a row of them sitting there,
Quite a row of them sitting there.
With them the seat does not break down,
Nor winter freeze them, nor floods drown,
For they are as light as upper air,
For they are as light as upper air!

Liz and Zil were twins of the best kind two sides of the same coin. They headed off to their beloved places Zil to Hobart Botanical Garden and Liz to Altona near her loved one. We each travel searching for a place we feel at home. Some of us are lucky enough to find that place. Others of us live in Hope.

Blue Diamonds has finally left home before it’s too late. His twin left years ago. He feels its time before he dies. Perhaps he will start a pilgrimage of all the other stay at home sculptures.
He takes Ecce Pier by James Joyce with him. ..
Of the dark past
A child is born;
With joy and grief
My heart is torn.
Calm in his cradle
the living lies.
May love and mercy
Unclose his eyes!
Young life is breathed
On the glass;
The world that was not
Comes to pass.
A child is slepping:
An old man is gone.
O, father forsaken,
Forgive your son.
. the final line echos in his soul….
Epoh was taking her old friend to hospital. They were both very frightened. Epoh thought about staying with the Lucky cats but in the end she decided to be in the garden opposite the hospital and just ” Hope”.None of us really know when the Cycle of life will take us so Epoh decides to try and appreciate she is alive right now along with the magnificent tree.
